Our Total Immersion is the best way to learn english! But what is it?

In language learning, a "Total Immersion" is when the learner spends time in an environment where only a target language is spoken. This way, you can avoid using your native language and learn much faster!

During our trips there is always a Talk Jockey (TJ) with you. A TJ is a native English speaker who spends time with the students, tells them jokes, explains slang, and most importantly, makes sure that everybody always speaks English only! There is always a minimum of 1 TJ to every 5 students, and our TJs know what the programme is and they will join you immediately after you finish each lesson, to constantly keep you engaged in conversation.

People you'll meet around Ireland

Moving from town to town you get to meet and to talk to many different kinds of people, like guides, pub owners, drivers, waiters, and the list goes on. With their different accents and pronunciations, they will help you hone your listening and comprehension skills.

Your classmates

By attending group lessons, you will meet people from different countries and practise in a relaxed multinational environment.

Talking in real life

Every day, you'll have something new to explore and to do, so that you'll be constantly exposed to real life situations and not only train through role play in class!

Your final project

A task/project will be given to you so that you can learn independently. This is a type of investigation into a place you visited while on your travelling programme. Students present their project to their class on the final day. Not only do you learn to work on your own, but everyone in class can share their knowledge and experiences on the last day of the course!

Thanks to our Total Immersion, Travelling Languages presents a unique way of learning languages, providing in a normal 2-week programme a result comparable to 6-8 weeks of most other traditional programmes.

Our growing numbers are a confirmation of the validity of this learning method, and our business has expanded further via EU-funded projects.

Our mission is to help people to achieve their greatest potential using a foreign language. We seek to provide the highest quality and challenging learning environment in order for people to improve quickly and efficiently.

Accreditations and Memberships

We are recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland, for English language teaching and also a recognised centre for TIE and Trinity exams.
